I was re-reading The Winter Guest... there was this really weird part where Tom and Sam talk about their friends Harry and Ron. *raises eyebrow* After I went thru the filmography of some of the actors, I've come up with some weird coincidences like this. Sean Biggerstaff (Oliver Wood) played Tom, as I've mentioned somewhere before. Alan Rickman acted in Mesmer as the guy who coined the term "animal magnetism" (Ron uses this phrase in Goblet of Fire). In Help! I'm A Fish! the evil pilot fish says "If I wanted your opinion, I'd give it to you!", which is what one of the howlers on the HP website screams at you. I know JKR specifically wanted Robbie Coltrane as Hagrid, but now I wonder if she hadn't suggested Rickman for Snape as well.
